....as Cassandra Dixon, a peace activist from WNPJ member organization Mary House, was beaten by an Israeli settler and hospitalized a few weeks ago.
She’s there to protect the children in the Palestinian village of Tuba as they walk to school. Tuba is in Masafer Yatta, the South Hebron Hills region of occupied West Bank. It’s slated for demolition and has been under constant harassment by Israeli settlers and soldiers.
With help from Congressman Pocan, Senator Baldwin has been in contact with the State Department and urging investigation and consequences to the settler who harmed Cassandra. It’s hoped that this horrible act may bring attention and help to the plight of the Palestinians there.

Thank Senator Baldwin and encourage her office to continue to monitor the complaint. We want the US Consulate to visit Cassandra in Tuba to witness the threat of violence and human rights abuses caused by the expansion of the illegal Israeli outpost of Havat Ma’on
