Building Unity’s MARCH to ELECTION Day Tour!

The Bus is Touring WI March 8th through April 1st!

On the "March to Election Day Tour," we will stop in over a 18 communities including Columbus, Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac, the Brothertown Nation, Oshkosh, Appleton on March 16th!, the Oneida Nation, Green Bay, the Menominee Nation, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, and Metropolitan Milwaukee.

We are in an unprecedented time of uncertainty. It is our duty to build a united movement for the good of all. Three of the most important things that we can do at this time is to find each other, get organized for solidarity and collaborative action, and elect leaders who share our commitment for Peace, Justice, Sustainability, & Democracy.

At each tour stop on the March to Election Day we’ll listen and learn; share plans and ideas; and explore the possibilities of acting together. And we will explore solidarity actions to address critical issues:

  • End U.S. support for genocide and crimes against humanity.

  • Learn how we can better keep each other safe including our immigrant, BIPOC, and

transgender neighbors.

  • Help Indigenous water protectors Stop Line 5! and other environmental issues.

  • Demand universal health care that includes legal and safe abortion care.

  • Educate and activate voters to the extreme importance of the April 1st Wisconsin Supreme Court race.

Please help and support the March to Election Day Tour if you have the capacity to help

with securing our three basic tour stop needs, in any Wisconsin community: * places to park the UnityMobile for a day * An indoor space where 30 or more people could gather. * One-night indoor sleeping space & bathroom access for 1 or more tour volunteers.

For more information, please call Building Unity at 608-630-3633.

The April election is less than a month away!

Make sure you have a plan to vote, and encourage your friends and family members to do the same.

Please feel free to use this voter guide, created by our partners at Guides.vote, to learn about the candidates and where they stand.

WIVEC invites you to print out the postcard at the link below and send to Wisconsin family, friends, and network members. The postcard asks fellow voters to VOTE NO on the constitutional amendment on the April 1 ballot. WIVEC is focusing on relational outreach, as it is shown that voters listen to people they know when it comes to amendments and language that comes with them.

Wisconsin already has a strict voter ID law on the books. This constitutional amendment seeks to enshrine Wisconsin’s voter ID law in the state constitution. While the amendment would not significantly alter the current voter ID law, it would make it harder to remove the photo ID requirement and limit the court's ability to protect voters disenfranchised by the law.

Stay up to date on April 1st voting information along with all of our civic engagement work by signing up for the bi-weekly newsletter.

From 350 Wisconsin - good news to share!

We’re so excited to share that on Friday, February 28, an administrative law judge issued an order to extend the stay on construction for the Line 5 reroute in northern Wisconsin! The stay is in response to the lawsuit filed by Midwest Environmental Advocates on behalf of 350 Wisconsin, League of Women Voters of Wisconsin, and Sierra Club in December 2024, which challenged the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ (DNR) decision to issue regulatory approval for Enbridge’s controversial 41-mile reroute of the Line 5 oil pipeline around the Bad River Band’s reservation. What does this mean in everyday language? It means that construction on the reroute cannot proceed until our court case is resolved.

Right to Boycott

Several of WNPJ's member organizations ( JVP, WBW, WCJP, and others) are working hard to protect our democratic institutions and constitutional right to dissent. But did you know that, since 2018, a WI law has restricted your right to boycott? Wisconsin is one of 38 states with an “anti-boycott law,” requiring anyone seeking a state contract of $100,000 or more to sign a pledge that they will not boycott Israel. This is a requirement of allegiance to a foreign country in order for Wisconsinites to do business in their own state! Representatives will be introducing a repeal this spring. To get involved in the WI Right to Boycott Campaign, we invite you to do the following (and to please share this with your membership):

Register for a remote info session on one of the following dates:

Check out more information and fill out our interest form https://linktr.ee/WIright2boycott

Join us at the Capitol on April 23, where we will lobby our representatives to restore our right to boycott.

If you have questions or would like to schedule an info session specifically for your organization, contact WIRightToBoycott@gmail.com.
