Streetwise & Steady: A Workbook for Action Peacekeepers or Event Marshals

Eileen Flanagan is a Quaker activist who offers training for other activists. In addition to training, she speaks and writes on how to build a spiritually grounded movement at the intersection of racial and climate justice. Eileen and Daniel Hunter (of Choosing Democracy) recently launched a Peacekeeper training workbook. Here's an article summarizing what's in the workbook with a link to the manual: Timely lessons for keeping people safe in the streets

IN the NEWS and Action Alert from FAIR Wisconsin:

June 18, ’25 - Breaking News: SCOTUS rules on health care for trans youth. FAIR Wisconsin has a message to the trans kids of Wisconsin: “We love you and we will always fight for you. Thank you for being you”.

The Supreme Court of the United States issued a decision today in US v Skrmetti. SCOTUS upheld the ban on youth gender-affirming care in Tennessee as constitutional.

From a legal standpoint, this SCOTUS decision does not change anything in Wisconsin or in any state where youth trans health care is not already banned. There should be no impact to health care for trans youth in Wisconsin.

If changes are made to your care or your child’s care, we want to know so we can help advocate for you and your family. Please email testimony@fairwisconsin.com or call 608-441-0143 to inform us and we will get back to you as soon as we can with next steps.

Again, this SCOTUS decision has no legal impact on youth trans health care in Wisconsin. Fair Wisconsin will host an informational webinar on the national and state-specific implications of this decision on Wednesday, July 9th at 5pm. This informational webinar is in partnership with GSAFE and national partners, and community connection events are also being planned, so stay tuned.

Wisconsin Right to Boycott Campaign

Needs Your Help

WIRighttoBoycott is seeking constituents in specific areas around the state who would be willing to help move our initiative forward toward the introduction of a repeal Wisconsin’s 2017 Act 248, a law which requires anyone receiving a state contract of $100,000 or more to pledge they will not boycott Israel and permits the state to terminate a contract if this pledge is violated. No other country is so singled out. Boycotting is an American tradition, protected free speech, and nonviolent protest that is a hallmark of American democracy.

How can you help?

Are you or someone you know in the Assembly and Senate districts listed below? Please reach out to members of member groups Jewish Voice for Peace or Women’s Int’l League for Peace and Freedom at wirighttoboycott@gmail.com or by phone at 608-609-7961. Or connect us with your acquaintances who might be interested in helping.  Our request is to meet, in person or on Zoom, with your Representative or Senator along with some of us who are practiced at lobbying for the repeal. We will confer before hand and be certain everyone is fully prepared. We have found that meeting and requesting important legislation is an empowering and positive experience. Join us and help out! Thank you!  Right to Boycott Team
