Smith's treatise will be examined along with more recent contributions by other economic theorists covering similar ground and/or about Smith's approach.  Along with reading from the Political Economy tradition the group will also regularly discuss recent writings on the current economic situation including the of the roots of the current Great Recession and its ongoing ramifications.
