How the Arts Can Save Education - Virtual Nov 10

Event Dates:
11/10/21

Wed. Nov. 10th 6:00 pm How the Arts Can Save Education - Virtual Conversation with author and UW-Madison Prof. Erica Rosenfeld Halverson and Ali Muldrow! Hosted by a Room of One’s Own Bookstore. Halverson’s book provides a blueprint for using the arts—performing, visual, and multimedia—to rethink what good learning, teaching, and curriculum can be. Featuring many evocative examples from Whoopensocker, Halverson’s artist-in-residence program in Madison schools, the book illustrates how classroom practices and school structures can be reorganized for more inclusive success. Readers will learn how to reframe learning as acts of metacognitive representation, identity, and collaboration. And lots and lots of joy. To register for the event, visit: https://www.crowdcast.io/e/dr--erica-rosenfeld
