Angela Lang is the Executive Director of Black Leaders Organizing for Community (BLOC) and the Vice President of the ACLU of Wisconsin Board of Directors.  She was born and raised in the heart of Milwaukee and has an extensive background in community organizing.  She has served as both an organizer and State Council for the Service Employees Union where she worked on several campaigns including the Fight for 15.  Before joining the BLOC Team as Executive Director, Angela was the Political Director with For Our Future Wisconsin.

A graduate of Emerge Wisconsin, she has been the featured trainer for Emerge Wisconsin’s Diversity Weekend since 2015.  Angela is motivated by making substantial and transformative change in her community while developing young, local leaders of color.  Through her work as a community organizer, she is a fierce advocate for securing more seats at the table for those who represent the New American Majority.

Kimberley Cy Motley is an international human rights and civil rights attorney from Milwaukee, an activist, author, and 2004 Mrs. Wisconsin-America.  She is the first foreign attorney to practice in Afghanistan since 2008 and is considered one of the most effective International Human Rights and Defense Attorneys working in Afghanistan.  She has represented a wide variety of high profile people in other countries including Anwar Ibrahim, the former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia; Matthew Rosenberg, a New York Times journalist in his expulsion from Afghanistan; Niloofar Rahmani, Afghanistan’s first female pilot; and Cuban artist, Danilo Maldonado, where she was arrested for representing him.
