Event Dates:
02/26/20

#CLOSEmsdf Leaders will be presenting the key findings and recommendations of the Task Force to Consider the Future of MSDF at the next Milwaukee Community Justice Council Meeting of the Whole. The meeting will be on Wednesday, February 26th from 9:30 am to 11 am at the Clinton Rose Senior Center. The address is 3045 N. Martin Luther King Dr., Milwaukee, WI 53212

The Task Force included a wide variety of key stakeholders including directly impacted people, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office, the Wisconsin Public Defender's office, the Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services, and leaders of numerous community-based organizations. The Task Force examined how MSDF can be depopulated by overhauling Wisconsin's supervision policies and practices and by expanding effective community-based programs.

In the past few weeks, #CLOSEmsdf leaders joined radio shows, presented at community organizations, and demonstrated at the Milwaukee State Office Building. Visit https://www.facebook.com/CLOSEmsdf/ to view these activities.
