We are so excited about Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice’s upcoming annual celebration – Celebrating Faithful Support for Dignity at Work!  We hope you will join us for this event and encourage your friends to join us as well! Please share the attached flyer and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/events/415245055947087/?active_tab=about)
Date – April 30, 2019
Time – 7:00 to 9:00 pm
Place – Lake Edge United Church of Christ, 4200 Buckeye Road, Madison
This year we celebrate our work with the Dignity at Work Coalition (http://www.dignityatworkcoalition.org/), which works together to establish higher standards of respect and equality for all who labor, greater compassion for working families, and to foster community solidarity in the service of our mission. Dignity at Work member organizations WFVJ, Wisconsin Alliance for Women’s Health, and Worker Justice Wisconsin will talk about the mission and work of the Coalition.
During the evening, we will also present our Voice for Justice Award to Wisconsin State Assemblywoman JoCasta Zamarripa (http://legis.wisconsin.gov/assembly/08/zamarripa/about-jocasta/biography-biograf%C3%ADa/) for her tireless championing of workers’ rights and immigrant justice.
Finally, Country and folk singers Bobbie and Bill Malone will entertain us.  Bill is a nationally renowned historian of country music, soon to be featured on Ken Burns' documentary of country music.
Light refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP to wifaithvoices4justice@gmail.com by April 25.
I look forward to seeing you there!
