** Presented by Critical Consciousness and Madison365 **
2019 is an important year for Black Americans as it marks the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the first ship of enslaved Africans arriving in Jamestown, Virginia and is the 65th anniversary of the Brown v. Board of Education decision.
It is time to change the narrative and experience for Black Americans in the US! And why not begin that process during the observance of the life of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The MLK Forum for Social Action is taking a page from the days of the Civil Rights Movement by bringing people together who want to end racial and inequities in our Dane County community.
This will not be a celebration of MLK the "Dreamer" but an event that will reflect on MLK's Revolution of Values and the outcome of the Brown v. Board of Education decision.
If you are a concerned citizen of Dane County and want to connect with other like-minded individuals in our community, you are cordially invited to attend!
When: January 19, 2019 at 4 pm
