Living Activism Benefit for Casa Maria
Show:  8:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Doors open at 7:30
We've started a new sliding scale suggested donation.  Music lovers can offer anywhere between $5 and $15 dollars (or more as a free will donation).  As always, it is a suggested donation.  No one is turned away and seating is still first come, first seated.  Plymouth Church Volunteers provide Coffee Tea and Treats and accept donations to support worthy causes at every Coffee House Event.
Tonight’s Living Activism is the Casa Kemnitz Jam for Casa Maria, an intentional community in the tradition of the Catholic Worker Movement.  This is a special jam featuring Brett Kemnitz, Coffee House friends, you, me, and whoever shows up with their acoustic instrument or voice or whatever.  Even bagpipes are allowed, even if somewhat loud. This is a free will donation, with all proceeds going to Casa Maria.
The Casa Maria ministry focuses on opening their home to women and children in need of short-term housing, refugees and asylum seekers, and families with longer-term needs. Additionally, they provide food, clothing, and used furniture to guests. They continue to participate in protests and other social justice campaigns that contribute to the well-being of society, as well as experimenting in urban gardening.
