Dayton) Social Cinema Series continues with a screening of Hungry to Learn - directed by Geeta Gandbhir, and produced by Soledad O'Brien. Through this film we meet four faces behind an American crisis — students so strapped to pay tuition that they don’t have enough money to eat, with dreams of college degrees just out of reach. Black Panthers co-founder and political activist Bobby Seale will be the guest speaker at Madison College’s Mitby Theater at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25. The Black History Month event is part of the “Madison College Talks” series presented by the office of Equity, Inclusion and Community Engagement.

This is a fundraising event for Open Doors for Refugees, sponsored by Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Wisconsin (RPCV), individuals who have volunteered to teach or do health or environmental work in countries all over the world. In the last two years, RPCV-Madison donated $11,000 to Open Doors!
