3/4 Tues 10:30 am Don Timmerman and Roberta Thurstin of Park Falls go to court for Civil Resistance to the War in IraqWausau. In Branch 3 at the Marathon Co. Courthouse. They were charged with disorderly conduct after refusing to leave  a ”sit-in”  at Rep. Obey's office when asking that he no longer fund the occupation of Iraq. They remember the many people who have lived a life of nonviolent resistance -  and think of present friends who live out lives of nonviolent resistance to those things that do not promote life – including Fr. Jerry Zawada, a humble, gentle man who nonviolently speaks truth to lies.  "Nonviolence is positive action for true good for all of God's creation, motivated by love, using only means that help and do not harm."  - words from "The Way of Peace" by Shannon McManimon. May we all work by the unique gifts given to each of us toward that positive action.  Peace, Roberta -  (715)762-8239  don2roberta@yahoo.com
