Ms Farhoud, a nurse practitioner working
with developmentally delayed children at Children's Hospital
of Wisconsin, was born in Palestine. Inshirah
Farhoud is a leader and activist on behalf of the local Muslim community. She is an officer of the Milwaukee Muslim
Women's Coalition and of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee and a board member of
Milwaukee Muslim Professionals and Associates. Ms Farhoud is also a board
member of Global Peace Service USA, which is an organization "to create a
professional peace service by promoting education and skills-training for men
and women based on . . . active nonviolence." As a member of this board
she is currently teaching a class at Alverno
College called
"Nurses As Healers and Peacemakers." Inshirah Farhoud is available
