Administrative Assistant - Farley Center, Verona

Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Center Facilitator

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for administrative support for the Farley Center staff.

The Linda & Gene Farley Center for Peace, Justice and Sustainability is a non-profit organization dedicated to progressive change, community partnership, environmental sustainability, peace and social justice. There are three primary programmatic areas that are staffed: a farm incubator, nature preserve where a natural burial ground is located, and a center that promotes peace and justice. It works to build community and engages with a variety of stakeholders. The tasks to meet the needs of all of the programs are quite varied and a high level of flexibility is needed for this position.

This is a 0.4FTE part-time position that has flexible hours, starting immediately.

Essential Functions:
 * E-mail, written & phone communications for the Center
 * Web management
 * Data entry & database maintenance
 * Limited Bookkeeping in QuickBooks
 * Coordination of space use and educational programs
 * Assisting with reports
 * Assisting with coordination of special events
 * Record keeping for Farm Incubator program and burial grounds
 * Assisting facilitators with administrative support

Required Qualifications:
 * Solid interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
 * Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse groups and individuals
 * Strong attention to detail
 * Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously
 * Demonstrated capacity in use of Microsoft Office, computer database systems
 * High School diploma/GED
 * Basic office management and bookkeeping skills
 * Successful work experience in administrative support
 * Web management experience
 * Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:
 * Post secondary degree
 * QuickBooks training
