Program Coordinator Position

Bayview International Center for Education and the Arts is a non-profit organization focused on providing affordable housing and quality arts and education programs for children and families from over 10 different countries. Currently, we have an opening for Program Coordinator to work with our after-school, youth, and community programs.

• Grant writing, reporting, program administration, and organizational duties
• Manage overall youth programs, staff, and volunteers.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate, in coordination with Program Director, all recreational, educational, and cultural activities for year-round programs, including after-school, teen night, summer camp.
• Coordinate and recruit community and university/college volunteers.
• Coordinate facility use for community groups.
• Coordinate healthy snack, education, field trips and special event programming.
• Support partnerships with local community organizations, MMSD schools, universities, and Americorps.
• Support other community program activities as needed in coordination with Program Director.

• Bachelors degree in social work, education, or related field
• High level of organizational, administrative, and management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• At least 3 years experience working with school aged children (ages 7-18) within after-school or other professional setting
• Appreciation of the value of the arts, education, and cultural diversity
• Team player with an enthusiastic, flexible, good-humored attitude
• Hmong/French/Spanish speaker preferred, but not required
