Outreach Coordinator Position

Bayview International Center for Education and the Arts is a non-profit organization focused on providing affordable housing and quality arts and education programs for children and families from over 10 different countries. Currently, we have an opening for Outreach Coordinator to work with our senior and families within our community

• Plan, implement, and evaluate new and existing projects and programs for seniors and families within the Triangle Neighborhood in coordination with Program Director
• Coordinate with community partners and consultants to establish and sustain community programs, such as ESL classes, sewing class, field trips, lunches, parent education, preschool education, etc.
• Volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination
• Coordinate facility use for community groups.
• Grant writing, reporting, program administration, and organizational duties
• Coordinate healthy snack, education, field trips and special event programming
• Support other community program activities as needed in coordination with Program Director
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in social work or related field
• High level of organizational, administrative, and management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• At least 3 years experience working with culturally diverse seniors and families.
• Appreciation of the value of the arts, education, and cultural diversity
• Team player with an enthusiastic, flexible, good-humored attitude
• Hmong/Spanish speaker preferred, but not required

Part-time position, 20 hours per week, Monday- Friday, flexible hours between 9:00am – 5:00pm, with some evenings/weekends required. EXCELLENT part-time benefits (Health, dental, vacation, sick leave, retirement, etc.). Salary competitive.
