Hi!
Please join 1sky and tens of thousands of people across the country next Saturday, Sept. 27th as we call on our elected officials to usher us into the green economy with the creation of 5 million new green jobs! Our Green Jobs Now event is just one of hundreds across the country and will take place at 12:30 in the 700-800 block of State Street next to
Library Mall on the UW campus. We'll be rallying with a diverse group of speakers speaking about the opportunities that green jobs pose to fight climate change, injustice, and poverty and lift us into a green economic revival! Then we'll march down State Street to the capitol where we'll have people sign photo petitions that let our officials know that "Wisconsin is ready for Green Jobs Now."

The event is sponsored by the BlueGreen Alliance, The Audubon Society, Physicians for Social Responsibility, 1000 friends of Wisconsin, The Apollo Alliance, Clean Wisconsin, Madison Area Urban Ministry, LUCHA, the MREA, and many others. If you would like to help us in sponsoring the event, please send us your logo and try to get as many people as possible to the event! We're asking that you bring five people if you come and to send out information about the event by your listservs or whichever way works best for you! Visuals are welcome as well.
