"An Introduction to Dialogue" , workshop with Alice Foley - Waukesha.
9/11 Sat 8:30 am - 12 noon "An Introduction to Dialogue" , workshop with Alice Foley - Waukesha. Ballroom, Campus Center, Carroll University. Alice Foley believes that “Dialogue slows down the conversation to allow for deeper listening and reflection. It’s open ended rather than leading to specific results. Because of this open ended process, important hidden issues are allowed to surface. We often find that in Dialogue, we can reach deeper levels of understanding and new insights, creating a community based culture of cooperation and shared leadership.” Alice brings a distinctive blend of theory and practical experience to her work with groups. She holds a Masters Degree in Conflict Resolution and taught for fifteen years for the Peace Studies Department of the UW-Milwaukee. Alice has served as the Director of the Milwaukee Mediation Center, where she worked with schools and non-profit organizations offering training in mediation and conflict resolution. Join the Plowshare Center for an interactive morning exploring the building blocks of Dialogue.RSVPs would be appreciated so we can plan refreshments and handouts appropriately. smichalko@wi.rr.com or 262-524-9499
