A Public Prayer For Peace – Elm Grove
3/19 Fri 4 – 5 pm A Public Prayer For Peace – Elm Grove. 13105 Watertown Plank Road. Schedule: 4:00-4:30 pm join the Prayer Service in the All Purpose Room and then 4:30-5:00 pm gather for a Prayerful, Public Stand for Peace along Watertown Plank Road. March 19, 2010 marks the seven year anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq war. The U.S. military death toll in now Iraq stands at over 4,300 with an addition 1,000 plus deaths in Afghanistan. Civilian estimates number in the hundreds of thousands. The cost of these two wars to U.S taxpayers has exceeded $1 trillion. In commemoration of this somber anniversary, the School Sisters of Notre Dame Global Justice & Peace Commission invites the public to join sisters and associates in a public prayer for peace and an end to global conflict. Following the half-hour prayer service inside, everyone is invited to join together outside in a public, prayerful stand for peace along Watertown Plank Road. Contact: S.
