CAMP DOUGLAS — Some 1,300 Wisconsin soldiers will be landing at Camp Douglas in the next few days, marking the return of almost all 3,200 soldiers deployed with the 32nd Brigade.

The troops are scheduled to arrive in four flights Sunday and Monday at Fort Volk in Juneau County.

They've been serving in Iraq since last February. Their duties included base defense, security and training for Iraqi corrections officers.

The soldiers have been arriving in waves of several hundred this month. They've been greeted by family amid loud cheers and plenty of tears.

The last remaining Wisconsin troops are the 20 soldiers who spent the final days of their tour coordinating the flights for their fellow soldiers. Those 20 are scheduled to arrive later in the week.
