Fairness And Accuracy in Reporting (F.A.I.R.)
We work to invigorate the First Amendment by advocating for greater diversity in the press and by scrutinizing media practices that marginalize public interest, minority and dissenting viewpoints. As an anti-censorship organization, we expose neglected news stories and defend working journalists when they are muzzled.

Prometheus Radio Project

Madison Infoshop

The InfoShop is a volunteer-run collective dedicated to serving the Madison-area and University of Wisconsin communities. We offer a range of resources including, but not limited to, books, magazines, videos, and topic files, as well as community organizing space and activist tools.

Rainbow community Bookstore
Rainbow is Madison’s only cooperatively owned and collectively managed bookstore. In addition to a wide variety of magazines, zines, underground publications and craft items, we also serve as a meeting place and informational resource for Madison’s progressive community.

Free Press
A national nonpartisan organization working to increase informed public participation in crucial media policy debates, and to generate policies that will produce a more competitive and public interest-oriented media system with a strong nonprofit and noncommercial sector.

Institute for Public Accuracy 
IPA increases the reach and capacity of progressive and grassroots organizations (at no cost to them) to address public policy by getting them and their ideas into the mainstream media. IPA gains media access for those whose voices are commonly excluded or drowned out by government or corporate-backed institutions.
