Dear Editor: It is my understanding that Wisconsin is now on track to be one of the first states in the nation to pass legislation requiring the governor to review all federal orders for the deployment of the state's National Guard, to determine their legality and to refuse any federal deployment order deemed to be illegal.
It is my hope that this legislation is passed, that Gov. Jim Doyle will sign the legislation, and that he recalls Wisconsin's National Guard from the illegal wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
I view this measure as being extremely important in reversing the further drift of America into fascism.
