Madison MAN - Party at/for the Social Justice Center

Event Dates:
07/20/18

Help the Madison MAN build the Social Justice Commons!

The Future of Social Justice is Solidarity

Celebrate and build with us on Friday July 20, 6-10pm with a super fun party and open house at the Social Justice Center!

Help kick off our renovation fundraising campaign, and sign on to help create and use the new commons features we're making. Including a Library of Things (really free market, swap, however we want to make it), co-working space, shared equipment and administration, and a vibrant learning community.

We'll sign up new members, play fun learning games, host a mini-swap, share food and drinks, and hear livemusic from Sugar Still - featuring Charlie Cheney, the son of the late great Nan Cheney who was the prime visionary behind the Social Justice Center. Charlie is carrying on the legacy and ushering in the next generation of social justice, based on creating means for everyone to do exactly what they wish to do in the world, including music, art, caregiving, civic engagement, community building, and other such frivolities :)  And Nan's former band the Raging Grannies will also sing for us! With more music and fun stuff TBA.

Want to help organize or staff this event? Want to help build our governance, business plans, and procedures? We need you! We continue to meet every Wednesday from 4-5pm at the Social Justice Centter, including this afternoon. Please come if you'd like to help in any way!

And here's the SJC party invitation to forward everyone  you know!
