After Gop Train Wreck, We Need Another FDR

Dear Editor: It took a Democrat, Franklin Roosevelt, to save America when the Republicans and their big corporation friends nearly destroyed our country economically during the Depression of the 1930s and 1940s.
Roosevelt and Congress instituted laws to protect Americans from Wall Street types who prey on our citizens and who believe that capitalism can do as it wants without some restrictions.
After a few decades of behaving themselves, the Republicans with their deeply flawed fiscal policies have brought our country back to the brink of a deep recession or worse.
We will need a Democratic president with Roosevelt's vision and determination to save us again.
