Issues in Health Care

Coalition for Wisconsin Health
Collaborative effort of 60 religious, social concern, human rights, health care and labor organizations, working to reform health care in the United States. We are an affiliate of Physicians for a National Health Program.

Physicians for National Health Program
A nonprofit organization of physicians, medical students, and other health care professionals that support a national health insurance (NHI) program. Specifically, we believe that a single-payer system (where the government finances health care, but keeps the delivery of health care to mostly private control) is the only solution to solving the United States' many health care problems

 American Medical Student Association
A student-governed, national organization committed to representing the concerns of physicians-in-training. With a membership of nearly 60,000 medical students, premedical students, interns, residents and practicing physicians from across the country, AMSA continues its commitment to improving medical training and the nation's health.

 Families U.S.A.
A national nonprofit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the achievement of high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans. Working at the national, state, and community levels, we have earned a national reputation as an effective voice for health care consumers for over 20 years.

 Everybody in, Nobody Out
Critical of "market medicine" which developed during the growth of "managed care", we do not believe that human health is a commodity and that health care is just one more market to be exploited. We believe there are a range of possible solutions to the present health care crisis in the United States and that these should be openly explored.

National Union of Public & General Emplyees
NUPGE is a family of 12 component unions. Taken together we are the second largest union in Canada. Most of our 340,000 members work to deliver public services of every kind to the citizens of their home provinces. We also have a large and growing number of members who work for private businesses.
